    Nonsense. Low rates were a major factor, but certainly not the only factor. Ben needs to go back to Econ 101, supply and demand, with demand being increased by the low rates. Other major factors were the deceptive subprime and Option ARM mortgages, aggravated by an almost total abdication of underwriting standards. All to generate more mortgages to feed Wall Street and London securitization machines.
